1. Who am I and why I am here.

Learning Goal: I’m working on a english discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

In Milestone #1, you will identify aspects of who you are as you transition into college. You will also explain why you have decided to begin your college journey. Finally, you will identify supports that you will utilize along the way.

Create a PowerPoint slide deck that includes the following information:

Slide 1: Images and/or words that communicate aspects of your identity you are most proud of.

Slide 2: Images or words that communicate why you have decided to attend college.

Slide 3: Images or words that communicate the type of support you will utilize in college.

Create an essay that analyzes your PowerPoint that includes the following points below. Your essay should be 2 – 3 pages, double-spaced, 12 point font.

Describe your identity slide. What aspects of your identity do you believe are consistent? Which do you believe will change? Explain. Which aspects of your identity do you believe are your strongest asset? Why? How does your identity relate to your goals?

Describe your slide about why you decided to attend college. What are you looking forward to? What worries you? What do you think you’ll already know how to do? What do you think will challenge you?

Describe your slide about the type of support you will utilize in college. Who is in your support network and why? What university supports will you use throughout your college career and why?
