Case Study 3: Project Management for Students
The Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters have been challenging for employers, employees,
schools, families, and students. Your final assignment is to serve as an advisor for students that
attend UNO in Fall of 2022. The overall goal is to help future students to apply concepts of
Project Management to optimize academic performance while completing courses during the
Fall 2022 semester.
Areas of focus:
• Design a Project Charter that a student could use to manage course requirements while
attending UNO next semester. Provide an example based on your experience this
semester.
• Demonstrate how a student could develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to plan
the activities to be successful next semester. Provide an example based on your
experience this semester.
• Demonstrate how a student could use Activity on Node (AON) or the Precedence
Diagramming Method (PDM) to create a schedule for completing projects and preparing
for exams next semester. Provide examples based on your experience this semester.
• Illustrate how a student could use DMAIC and PDCA to prepare for exams or write case
study reports next semester. Provide examples based on your experience this semester.
Case study reports should be a minimum of 8 pages in length and will be due Friday, August
12th, at 11:59 p.m. Central time
