Help with discussion responds
Learning Goal: I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
I need help with a discussion responds. Here is the original post that I have already answered. A hospital cannot be all things for everyone. Discuss considerations when determining community needs versus wants. For example, when choices must be made in health care delivery, identify political/financial/organizational changes that you would consider when determining what delivery options make the most sense for your facility.
Here is the class mates responds that I need help with doing a responds on. “Hospitals should always want to lower cancer patients’ mortality rate. Many cancers patient isn’t aware they have cancer until it’s already too late. “In the United States in 2019, 1,752,735 new cancer cases were reported and 599,589 people died of cancer” (CDC, 2022, para 1), that is about one in every three-cancer patient died. That is very sad. Mortality rate has gone down, and new treatments have proven effective, it’s still could be better. Lower class families have difficult time accessing healthcare and there is a disparity of knowledge among minority groups.
Organizational changes that need to happen are branding oncology. An example would be to encourage nurses and medical students to go into specialize in oncology. This means scholarship opportunities, training opportunities, shadowing, etc. Creating a way to make oncology appealing to future nurses and medical students will make a big difference. Financial changes would be more investment in the oncology department, such as new innovated treatments and technologies to help detect cancer. Increase in salary for nurses and oncologist, that way it is an incentive to go into oncology.”
