Topic for Summary 2: Prison Labor

Learning Goal: I’m working on a writing discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Your essay should answer the following questions:

 What are the main points in the article?

 The essay must be in your own words – minimize the number of direct quotes to 1 or 2.

 How does the article relate to the course?

 Does the information in the article seem correct or is it misleading? Yes/No, and Why?

Essay Requirements:

 1 pages in length – no more no less (refers only to the body of the summary)

 12 font – Times New Roman – 1-inch margins – 1.5 spacing.

 Proper citation of the article using APA guidelines.

 Proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure

 Please note that all rules in regards to plagiarism and proper citations must be followed

 Ensure that you choose an article that relates to the topic provided. Use real scholarly articles and do not merely pick newspaper articles on issues with local police as that will not be sufficient.

 Make sure your essay is of the proper length as described above in the instructions.

 Make sure you spell-check your essay for grammatical errors.

 Make sure you answer the questions within your essay.

 Do not just summarize the article to me. Not answering the above questions within your essay will cause you to lose points.
